Children and Young People

We are committed to encouraging and helping our children and young people to consider themselves as part of the church. We're committed to seeing our children and young people integrated into the life of the church, where they are participators in our worship and not onlookers. We run a weekly programme of age-related groups which aim to provide a place where they belong and also an opportunity for them to grow in knowledge of the Christian faith.

TWINKLERS

Twinklers is a toddler group run by Bunyan Baptist Church mums on weekday mornings.

CRÈCHE

Crèche runs every Sunday morning (except during 'whole church' services) for all babies and toddlers up to the age of 3.

3-5s (Foundation Stage)

Splash
5-7s (Key Stage 1)

Splash is an active, creative and bubbly group.

7-11s (Key Stage 2)

THE MIX

The MIX is a group made up of children who are full of life and full of questions. The MIX aims to open up the Bible and hear God's story. It uses the Scripture Union Xstream material.

THURSDAY CLUB

Thursday Club runs every week from 6.30-8pm.   It's a youth club with a difference. Great games, great craft and lots of fun.

11-16s

THE GRID

In the GRID we want to explore who God is and what he has done and what that means for us today. We believe the Bible is the best place to find out. We want to learn and experience God in our lives. We use the Roots lectionary material.

THE LOUNGE

the LOUNGE exists as a christian community which seeks to be inclusive. we value friendship, being yourself and respect for one another. We meet on wednesday nights, 6.30-8.30pm usually at the church.

D:Grp

A small group for older young people that meets on Sunday nights, 7-9pm. We explore a whole range of topics related to faith and also look to serve the church. Recently we have organised a series of advent services.

CORNERSTONE

Cornerstone is a town-side organisation that exists to give young people the opportunity to know and follow Jesus. It works in schools, runs football teams, a non-alcoholic mobile bar and are setting a new youthwork forum for church youthworkers in Stevenage.
