If you've received the weekly notices email then you'll have got the details on how to join our Zoom after church catch up meeting on Sunday 10th May at 11.15am - if not then, as ever, do contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
If you've been missing seeing some familiar faces then join us on Sunday with a cuppa in hand and biscuit, if you have one - if not you've always got time to bake some ready! Come prepared to share a high and, perhaps a low as well, of being in lockdown and we're also hoping to make use of the Zoom break out rooms for a bit of an easier way to chat with one another in smaller groups.
Ali will be hosting the meeting and we look forward to welcoming you!

At the close of Gideon's story God has brought about peace in the land. Where do you need God's peace right now? Maybe you could consider praying the prayer below and spending some time in quiet reflection asking for God to bring His peace in your heart and mind, or in the situation that you're thinking of.

As our nation faces the unprecedented challenge of the coronavirus pandemic, Churches Together in England (CTE) is encouraging Christians across our nations to continue uniting in prayer, praying #PrayersOfHope in their homes at 7.00 pm each Sunday evening. Please join them in prayer at this challenging time.
CTE has also prepared a candle poster for those who would like to place a permanent symbol in their front windows of Christ’s light shining in the darkness. The poster comes in many forms and includes one that can be coloured in! The poster has been made available due to awareness of the potential fire risk posed by lighting live candles, particularly on windowsills and not wnating to overburden the emergency services at this time.
‘The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.' John 1:5
For more information on the campaign and for copies of the poster please go to he Churches Together in England page.

There are some Bible passages where it can be quite hard to accurately express in English was is actually being said... Trevor A. (one of our Members) has shared a number of Bible Studies on some of these more complex passages... and it makes for fascinating reading! Have a look and see: http://livingwater-spain.com/preface.htm

In this week's Sunday Service, and in the Twinklers At Bunyan video, we were thinking about an Attitude of Gratitude...
How can you keep gratitude near the surface, today?
What are you thankful for, and how could you capture and share it?

A message from David
Once again a huge thank you to all of you for your donations which have allowed us to send a third impressive consignment to the foodbank. The attached photo shows the variety and amount of fairtrade goods together with an individual donation of goods not available from Traidcraft. People are being very generous which means that we can respond to the messages from the foodbank that they are in urgent need of more supplies otherwise they will run out. We already have another order in with Traidcraft which will be available to send next week. It will contain both rice and pasta which are now both in stock again.
This scheme is a triple blessing - for the overseas producers who desperately need to continue selling their produce, for Traidcraft who need to keep trading if their fairtrade work is to survive and, of course for those who receive the supplies of food also desperately needed. You are all part of these blessings - thank you.
I hope and pray that you and your families are all well and are keeping safe.

Here is a Bible study on Psalm 13 to help us to continue our thinking about David this week - why not take some time out with a coffee to study God's word.

4th Round, A knockout Chicken
Hello again, Friday 3rd April, mixed blessings, woke up felt disorientated all day had to move around slowly, low blood pressure maybe! But good news as our daughter had ordered fish and chips to be delivered from J.Js in the new town centre ( other chip shops available ) simply divine.
Saturday I woke up feeling fine again, cooked an all day breakfast for us which we do not normally have except on holiday so a real treat. plus a cream cake. don't let my diabetic nurse know please. We are looking forward to the Sunday Service again, saw twinklers on line in the week also, loved Nicola's "going to the moon" brilliant song.
5th April Sunday service, so good to be part of it.
Chicken turned out fine Sunday, which was just as well because our first on line shop on the 9th had no chicken or eggs. but we have plenty of food, fruit and veg. Baa humbug! O, even Plums are back. So bye for now God Bless you and keep safe.
