Let's join in prayer today for all the children in our town. For those going back to school with all the anxiety and unfamiliarity that holds. For those continuing to home school, for those unable to access learning at home. Lord we lift to you all the children and families for whom this time is filled with highs and lows, bless those who are finding this difficult. Help families find opportunities to become more connected and surround them with your love we pray.

Like many public events Stevenage Day has had to be cancelled this year. It was due to be on Sunday 14 June. Instead the Stevenage Day Team are encouraging residents and exhibitors to mark the day by sharing stories, images and videos from previous Stevenage Day events, and any ideas people have to mark the day in a virtual way this year. They will post any messages/short clips produced by you or local community organisations. Please email the Stevenage Day Team on email@example.com if you have any memories, images or suggestions.
The Team hope to make some further announcements on 14th June of some celebratory virtual activities hosted by the Mayor over the coming weeks. We will keep you posted as these ideas develop!

During the Sunday Service just gone, we spent some time thinking about the shape of life and church post-lockdown, wondering if the Early Church could give us some pointers on how to be...
there are few more thoughts and questions here, if you fancy it a bit more thinking space: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1GBskN8mCwBf4OK_I6i4vfeTN-styOPB6/view

What have you missed about Bunyan during lockdown?
What have we learnt or started in lockdown that we should carry on?
We’d love to know your views so that when we can gather again, our “new normal” will catch all the growth opportunities of this crazy time!
Please take a moment to think and pray, then have a look throught this short questionniare:

Last Sunday we had a challenge to create a flame and/or send in a prayer - thank you to those who have been inspired by fruit and flowers! Do send in any more creations!
And here's something that Clare wrote to reflect on:
The flames of love
Entangled from above
Weaving their way all about
Healing our nation from all our doubt
As Months of isolation and solitude roll on
We hope we’ll be able to hug our daughters and sons
This is my prayer and hope for tomorrow
That we will be a better nation with a lot less sorrow
Time will tell but we must be positive and strong
At least it’s what our departed loved ones would have sung!

Last month a new Christian listening and prayer support ministry was launched called New Kapporet.
It's run by lay Christian volunteers and aims to be a space where people are invited to share their hopes and fears, their pain and suffering, and to ask for God's help.
If this might be something you'd appreciate then find out more through their website: http://newkapporet.org

Pentecost Flame Challenge - thank you to those who have already sent some pictures in. But just a reminder to send in your pictures of flames made from objects around your home, drawings of photos as well as your prayers and we'll get compilation out later in the week.
And here's a link to a picture meditation for Pentecost that you could explore this week as well - it might even inspire your creativity for the Flame challenge: http://godventure.co.uk/news/a-picture-meditation-for-pentecost/

This week some of your children are heading back to nursery or school. We are very aware that this evokes different feelings for different families. May I assure you of our prayers for your children their teachers and you their parents at this time. From all at Twinklers At Bunyan and Bunyan Baptist Church.

We thought about the wonderful Olive Branch Network in last Sunday's service!
The Olive Branch Network was established in 2016 and became a Registered Charity in March 2017. The Charity aims to support babies and their parents who are in difficult situations by providing them with Moses baskets filled with much needed essential items.
As they continue to support new mums, the demand for their services are now greater than ever!
Could you help by buying an item from their amazon wish list, and by remembering the work of this charity in your prayers?
You can find out more about the charity, thier incredible work, and other ways of support them at there website: https://www.theolivebranchnetwork.org.uk/donate-items
